Since October, the inaugural members of Hawthorne Elementary’s Ruling Our Experiences (ROX) girls group have been gathering each week to explore topics to help them navigate relationships, experiences and decisions.

Melissa Gordon, a secretary at Walnut Springs Middle School, and Stephen Smalley, assistant principal at Genoa Middle School, have been recognized by the Westerville Sunrise Rotary for going above and beyond to serve students.

About 20 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students from all five of Westerville City Schools’ middle schools participated in the 2023 Ohio Music Education District 15 Middle School Honor Band on Nov. 11 at Westerville Central High School.

Nineteen students from Genoa Middle School and Walnut Springs Middle School are moving on to the state competition after participating in the Region 6 Ohio History Day Competition on March 11 at the Ohio Statehouse.
